How to Cook Like a Professional Chef

It starts with fresh ingredients.

A high-end stove is also helpful, but not necessary.

A dash seasoning and a pinch of patience.

Bright (sun)light to cook by.

And it doesn't hurt to be dating a damn good cook!

This was our fantastic dinner during our stay at The Whale House on our getaway weekend. It was made with fresh ingredients found close to where we stayed.  :)   

Made with:     
  • Fresh apples (for applesauce) and rosemary from the yard     
  • Fresh carrots, delicata squash and brussel sprouts from Vashon Island farmer's market     
  • Fresh fish from Vashon market     
  • Fresh eggs (for hollandaise sauce) from a roadside stand
